Niteroi – The neighboring town
The Belvedere at city Park of Niterói offers a unique view with completely different perspective on Rio !
The neighboring town of Niterói, which is connected by a 14 km-long bridge with Rio, is located on the other side of the big Guanabara Bay. There are also some great attractions: A very interesting fish market, the famous Contemporary Museum MAC from Oscar Niemeyer and the city park Mirante de Niterói, from where can have a fascinating view of Rio de Janeiro. This is a completely different perspective from Rio. We continue along the beaches and reach a sleepy fishing village, where we find local restaurants, with very fresh fish dishes. We can also visit the active Fortress Santa Cruz and see our Sugarloaf from the other side! This tour also takes 4-5 hours.
